Highway Experience Requirement
DriveTest requires G-test applicants to declare enough highway-driving experience. Current guidance includes at least five qualifying highway trips within the three months before the test.
If you do not have enough recent highway experience, build that experience safely before your appointment rather than waiting until test day.
Highway-Experience Declaration
Before the test, you must complete the required declaration about your recent highway-driving experience. Be accurate when reporting your experience.
Licence and Appointment
- Bring your current Ontario driver's licence.
- Confirm your road-test date, time, and location.
- Bring corrective lenses if your licence requires them.
Vehicle Requirements
You must bring a suitable vehicle in good working order. DriveTest performs a basic vehicle check before the test.

How Early Should You Arrive?
